Problem Note 58895: "WARNING: The protocol version of the HPRISK engine on the grid (313) does not match the server version (314)" occurs after you apply a hot fix

DetailsAboutRate It

When you apply SAS® HP Risk hot fixes to a grid environment, the server TKGRID component needs to be manually applied to the nodes of the grid environment. Failure to manually apply the server component to the nodes of the grid environment can result in warnings and errors.

For example, for Hot Fix Z08002, the Z07002 server component contains the TKGRID portion, which is needed for the nodes of the grid. If you do not manually apply the server component, you might see warnings and errors like the following:

WARNING: The protocol version of the HPRISK engine on the root node (313) does not match the server version (314)

WARNING: The protocol version of the HPRISK engine on the grid (313) does not match the server version (314)

ERROR: The HPRisk Engine did not accept position data.

ERROR: Information could not be read from the HPRisk Engine. The HPRisk procedure must terminate the task.

NOTE: The SAS System stopped processing this step because of errors.

Note: Beginning with Rev. 940_16w26, the changes for Hot Fix Z08002 are automatically included in orders for SAS® HP Risk and SAS® Model Implementation Platform.

For details about applying the hot fix and the post-installation steps, see the specific hot fix installation instructions, which are available from the platform links on the Technical Support Hot Fixes download page.
